Dawn light through eucalyptus and fairway

Wide fairways between eucalyptus

A valley course in Mijas where walkers return October after October

The place

The fairways here run wide and open, lined with eucalyptus and set into terrain flat enough to walk eighteen holes without much strain. Bunkers and water show up on enough holes to keep the round honest, but the layout favors rhythm over penalty.

Regulars have been coming back for ten years or more, mostly in October when the air cools and tee times get competitive. The course holds condition through the season, though bunkers can firm up after heavy rain.

The clubhouse serves reasonably-priced pints and solid food. The restaurant takes bookings at restaurante@santanagolf.com or by phone.
